Elisabeth López nació en 1988 en Sabadell (Barcelona). La pasión por el arte la descubrió a los nueve años, en una visita al Monasterio del Escorial, en Madrid.
En 2011 se graduó en Bellas Artes en la Universidad de Barcelona, donde se especializó en pintura. Unos años más tarde conoció la Arteterapia. Fascinada por ese mundo, realizó el Postgrado y el Máster en Arteterapia en la Escuela Metàfora, en Barcelona. Aprendió a ver y a entender el arte de otra forma, sin juzgar el final de la obra, sino dándole importancia al proceso creativo.
Empezó a mostrar su obra en 2017 en una exposición grupal en Roma. A partir de este momento deicidió abrir sus horizontes mostrando su obra internacionalmente a través de Londres, Roma, Venecia, Milan, Paris, Atenas, Madrid, Barcelona o New York City.
En 2018 se trasladó, ciudad en la que aún reside, donde ha ido adquiriendo una técnica creativa más propia que ha ido evolucionando con el paso del tiempo. Elisabeth sabe expresar, mediante un simbolismo inédito, el alma de sus cuadros. Y le da al espectador el protagonismo de crear la historia de cada uno de ellos.
Trabaja un estilo surrealista en el que la realidad se inunda de magia y de cierto misterio. Busca el equilibrio entre los fríos y los cálidos, y tal vez ahí, en ese equilibrio de luces y saturaciones reside parte de la magia de su pintura.
En sus obras se aprecian influencias de la pintura metafísica y del surrealismo cuando fondo y figura convergen en un mismo plano mediante una línea, que a veces, ejerce de hilo conductor entre la historia que representa y la historia que puede interpretar el observador.

Elisabeth López was born in 1988 in Sabadell (Barcelona). She discovered her passion for art at the age of nine, during a visit to the Monastery of El Escorial, in Madrid.
In 2011 she graduated in Fine Arts from the University of Barcelona, where she specialised in painting. A few years later she discovered Art Therapy. Fascinated by that world, she completed a Postgraduate Diploma and a Master’s degree in Art Therapy at Escola Metàfora, in Barcelona. There she learned to see and understand art in a different way: not judging the finished work, but giving importance to the creative process.
She began exhibiting her work in 2017 in a group exhibition in Rome. From that moment on, she decided to broaden her horizons by showing her work internationally in London, Rome, Venice, Milan, Paris, Athens, Madrid, Barcelona and New York City.
In 2018 she moved to London, where she still lives today and where she has gradually developed a more personal creative technique, one that has continued to evolve over time. Through a symbolism entirely her own, Elisabeth knows how to express the soul of her paintings, and she hands the viewer the leading role in creating the story behind each one.
She works in a surrealist style in which reality is flooded with magic and a certain sense of mystery. She seeks a balance between cool and warm tones, and perhaps it is there, in that balance of light and saturation, that part of the magic of her painting lies.
Her work reveals the influence of metaphysical painting and surrealism, as background and figure converge on a single plane through a line that, at times, serves as a thread connecting the story she depicts with the story the observer may read into it.
